Our farming process begins with one specific goal – exceptional phytonutrient count.
Phytonutrients are a group of compounds found only in plants that are known to protect humans from disease and illness. These aromatic pigments include anthocyanins, phenolics, and bioflavonoids (to name a few). Phytonutrients are not only good for you, they also make our blueberries taste better!
Our growing technologies harness nature to create optimized conditions which guide the plant in producing its peak level of these disease fighting elements. The result: Our blueberries have a phytonutrient density higher than any other on the market!
GROWN IN CONTAINERS
“Bioponics” is a term coined for organic containerized cultivation. This method conserves precious resources by recycling water, nutrients, and growing media, yet still increasing production per square foot.
Containerized growing can flourish with organically certified materials, incorporate similar microbial action to that of soil crops, requires less use of pesticides, while eliminating soil erosion and nutrient runoff. Using this method, we consistently produce berries in a more economical and environmentally efficient greenhouse setting.
